Implanon contains a hormone called etonogestrel. Once inserted, you won’t see the Implanon and it lasts worry-free up to 3 years. This small, comfortable vaginal ring about 2 inches in diameter. It is easy to insert and remove without assistance from your doctor. NuvaRing is designed to be inserted directly in your vagina and kept there for three weeks in a row. It releases a continuous dose of low hormones into your body. On the fourth week you remove it, allowing your body a one week break, when you will normally have your menstrual period. Most women do not feel NuvaRing once it is in place.
